In a large bowl, combine the flour, ground almonds, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, and baking powder.
Add the butter and egg, then knead the dough until it comes together.
Shape the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Slightly flatten the balls and sprinkle with slivered almonds.
Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let the cookies cool completely before serving.
