Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Set aside.
In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and mix until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
Peel and thinly slice the apples, then gently fold them into the batter, being careful not to break them.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar and slicing to serve.
