Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a baking dish or small baking pan with butter.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
Add the cooked rice and stir well to ensure that every grain is coated with the honey-butter mixture.
Gently fold in the fresh blueberries and lemon zest. Be careful not to crush the berries!
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the top is lightly caramelized and the blueberries are slightly softened.
Remove from the oven, sprinkle with toasted almonds, and serve warm or at room temperature.
