Rinse the fish fillets and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
Thinly slice the lemon. Chop the parsley and dill. Crush the garlic cloves.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the fish for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
Add the butter and crushed garlic to the skillet. Baste the fish with the melted butter for another 1-2 minutes.
Sprinkle the fish with the chopped fresh herbs and top with lemon slices. Cover the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
Serve the baked fish with a fresh salad, steamed rice, or roasted potatoes.
