Peel the bananas and chop them into smaller pieces, or mash them with a fork.
Roughly chop the dark chocolate into larger pieces to create pockets of melted chocolate in the strudel.
In a bowl, combine the bananas, granulated sugar, and vanilla sugar.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lay one sheet of strudel dough on a clean kitchen towel and brush it thinly with oil. Place another sheet of strudel dough on top and repeat the oiling.
Sprinkle the strudel dough with breadcrumbs, then evenly spread the banana mixture and chopped chocolate over it.
Using the kitchen towel, carefully roll up the strudel and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the top with beaten egg and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving, dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with melted chocolate.
