In a bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until you have a smooth pulp.
Add the shredded coconut, rolled oats, and cocoa powder. If desired, add honey to taste for extra sweetness.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly until you have a dough that can be shaped. If the mixture is too soft, add a little more rolled oats.
Roll small portions of the dough into balls, then coat them in shredded coconut.
Place the balls on a tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
Before serving, sprinkle with a little extra shredded coconut and offer fresh fruit on the side, if desired.
