Peel the bananas and mash them with a fork in a bowl.
Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Add the mashed bananas and peanut butter to the batter, and mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan. Sprinkle the toasted peanuts on top.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
While the cake is cooling, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Serve the cake with a dollop of whipped cream on the side or decorate the top.
Before serving, garnish the cake with fresh banana slices and chopped peanuts to enhance both the presentation and the flavor.
