Preheat your waffle iron to medium heat and lightly grease it with coconut oil or butter.
Pour a portion of the batter into the center of the waffle iron (about 1/2 cup or one ladle), close the lid, and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
Once cooked, carefully remove the waffle with a spatula and place it on a wire rack to cool slightly and maintain its crispness.
Serve fresh with banana slices, chopped nuts, and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
