Cut the chicken breasts lengthwise into strips or smaller pieces, making them easy to wrap with the bacon slices.
In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, black pepper, salt, Hungarian sweet paprika, brown sugar, and olive oil.
Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken pieces, then let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Wrap each chicken piece with a slice of bacon and secure it with a toothpick to prevent it from unraveling during cooking.
Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C). If cooking in a skillet, heat over medium-high heat.
Place the bacon-wrapped chicken on the grill or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cook for 15-20 minutes, until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through.
During the last 5 minutes of cooking, brush the chicken with BBQ sauce and cook for a few more minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize slightly.
Remove the cooked chicken, remove the toothpicks, and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with a fresh salad or roasted potatoes.
