    Preparation Steps

    1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.

    2

Divide the meat into four equal portions, then shape them into patties about 2 cm thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.

    3

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly brush the patties with olive oil to prevent sticking.

    4

Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, until they develop a nice golden-brown crust and remain juicy inside.

    5

During the last minute of cooking, brush the tops of the patties with BBQ sauce, then top each with a slice of cheddar cheese to melt.

    6

Halve the hamburger buns and lightly toast them on the grill or in a dry skillet to make the insides crispier.

    7

Assemble the burgers: place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, top with the BBQ cheese-covered patty, then add a slice of tomato and red onion. Finally, cover with the top half of the bun.

    8

Serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce and french fries or a fresh salad.
