Peel and mince the garlic cloves. In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce with the minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Thoroughly coat the chicken drumsticks with the mixture.
Let the chicken drumsticks marinate for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
Preheat your grill to medium heat. Alternatively, you can use an oven if that's more convenient.
Place the chicken drumsticks on the grill and cook for 30-35 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the meat is cooked through. If baking, cook in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C).
If desired, brush the chicken drumsticks with an extra layer of BBQ sauce while grilling for an even richer flavor.
