Clean the chicken drumsticks and season generously with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken drumsticks on both sides for 3-4 minutes, until golden brown.
Mince the garlic and add it to the skillet. Pour in the BBQ sauce, stirring well to coat the chicken drumsticks evenly.
Cover the skillet and simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Meanwhile, rinse the rice in cold water. In a saucepan, combine the rice with twice the amount of water. Add a pinch of salt and cook over low heat until tender, about 15 minutes.
Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and stir in the finely chopped fresh parsley.
Serve the BBQ chicken drumsticks with the steamed rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
