Toss the tomatoes in the mixture, ensuring they are well coated on all sides.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, and grease the grill grates with a little olive oil if necessary.
Place the tomatoes cut-side down on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes, until lightly caramelized.
Flip them over and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the skin is slightly charred.
Remove from the grill and sprinkle with freshly chopped basil.
Serve immediately as a side dish or a light meal with fresh bread.
