Shuck the fresh corn on the cob, removing the silk. Lightly brush with olive oil.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, then place the corn on the grates. Grill, turning occasionally, for 8-10 minutes, or until all sides are nicely charred.
Remove the corn from the grill and let it cool slightly. Then, using a sharp knife, cut the kernels off the cob.
Finely chop the red onion and fresh cilantro. In a bowl, combine with the grilled corn kernels.
Squeeze the juice from the lime over the corn mixture. Add the BBQ sauce, chili flakes, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly to ensure the flavors are well combined.
Let it rest for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve as a side dish or a standalone dish.
