Whisk the egg and mix it into the cottage cheese filling for a creamier consistency.
Melt the butter and brush each strudel dough sheet with it.
Place a strip of the cottage cheese filling along the edge of each strudel sheet, then carefully roll it up to create a tight but not overly compact strudel.
Preheat the grill to medium heat (about 350°F or 180°C) and place a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a grill tray on it.
Place the strudels on the grill and cook them covered for 8-10 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Carefully flip the strudels with a spatula to ensure even cooking on all sides.
