Peel and thinly slice the onion.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and coarsely ground black pepper.
Add the potato slices and onion to the spiced mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Preheat your grill to medium heat, or use a grill pan.
Place the potatoes on the grill grate or in the grill pan and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
When the potatoes are almost done, add the sliced onion and grill for another 2-3 minutes, until caramelized.
Before serving, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot.
