Thoroughly wash the potatoes, then peel them if desired. Cut into even slices or wedges, about 1 cm thick.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, and add a pinch of salt. Parboil the potatoes until slightly tender, about 5-7 minutes, then drain.
Place the drained potatoes in a large mixing bowl, add the olive oil, coarse sea salt, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Toss well to coat each slice evenly with the spiced oil.
Preheat the grill to medium heat, then place the seasoned potato slices on the grill grate. Grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until all sides are nicely browned.
During the last 2-3 minutes of grilling, brush the potatoes with BBQ sauce, allowing it to caramelize slightly for an even more intense flavor.
Once cooked, transfer the grilled potatoes to a serving bowl and sprinkle with finely chopped fresh parsley.
Serve hot, with extra BBQ sauce or dipping sauce of your choice.
