Drain the tofu and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut into slices about 1 cm thick to ensure they are stable for grilling.
In a bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, smoked paprika, honey (or agave syrup), lemon juice, and black pepper.
Place the tofu slices in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes, or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator if you have time.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and, if necessary, lightly oil the grill grates to prevent the tofu from sticking.
Place the tofu slices on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until slight grill marks appear.
During the last 2 minutes of grilling, brush both sides with BBQ sauce and cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow it to caramelize slightly.
After grilling, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately as a side dish or main course.
