Halve the tomatoes, jalapeno pepper, red onion, and garlic.
Brush the vegetables with olive oil, then sprinkle with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and place the vegetables on the grill, cut-side down.
Grill the vegetables for 5-7 minutes, or until lightly charred and caramelized.
Remove from the grill and let cool slightly. Remove the seeds from the jalapeno pepper if you prefer a milder flavor.
Chop the grilled vegetables and combine them in a bowl with the BBQ sauce and lime juice.
Sprinkle with fresh cilantro and mix well.
Let stand for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld, then serve with tortilla chips, grilled meats, or tacos.
