Wash the tomatoes, then halve or quarter them if they are large.
In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
Add the tomatoes to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the spice mixture.
Preheat your grill to medium heat or use a grill pan.
Place the tomatoes cut-side down on the grill grates and cook for 4-5 minutes, until slightly caramelized.
Flip the tomatoes and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until they are tender but still hold their shape.
Before serving, sprinkle with fresh, chopped basil and serve hot or warm.
