In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the chopped pecans and brown sugar, and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until the sugar is slightly caramelized.
Pour in the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Mix well, then cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
Add water, if needed, to reach the desired consistency.
Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and serve with grilled meats, vegetables, or french fries.
