In a medium saucepan, combine the soy sauce, BBQ sauce, honey, brown sugar, grated ginger, and minced garlic.
Add the sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water. While stirring constantly, add the mixture to the sauce.
Cook for another 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and let cool slightly.
Serve with grilled meats, vegetables, or rice dishes.
