In a medium bowl, combine the tomato paste, BBQ sauce, chili flakes, honey, and brown sugar.
Add the smoked paprika, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until smooth.
Season with salt and black pepper. Let stand for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
If needed, add water to reach the desired consistency.
Brush the marinade onto the meat or vegetables. Marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to fully penetrate.
