Prepare the ingredients: slice the beef into thin strips, mince the onion and garlic, slice the green onions, and finely chop the chili.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the beef until browned, then set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté the onion, garlic, and chili until fragrant.
Add the cooked rice and mix well with the onion mixture. Pour in the soy sauce and fish sauce, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
In a separate pan, fry the eggs sunny-side up. These will be placed on top of the Nasi Goreng when serving.
Return the beef to the skillet and mix with the rice. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Serve the Nasi Goreng hot, topped with a fried egg, fresh cilantro, and pickled cucumber.
