Peel and finely chop or grate the garlic.

Add the beer, chili powder, barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Serve the sauce with grilled meats, vegetables, or even potatoes.
