Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the crushed garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
Pour in the tomato sauce and light beer. Stir well to combine.
Add the brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened and the flavors have melded.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Serve with grilled dishes such as ribs, chicken wings, or burgers.
