Thoroughly wash the bergamot orange, then slice it into thin rounds.
Pour the apple cider into a medium-sized saucepan and heat over medium heat.
Add the bergamot slices, cinnamon stick, cloves, and a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg.
Slowly heat the drink, ensuring it doesn't boil, to allow the flavors to meld. This will take about 15 minutes.
Add the honey and stir until it is completely dissolved in the cider.
Strain the finished cider to remove the spices and bergamot slices.
Serve warm in heat-resistant glasses, and garnish with a slice of bergamot and a cinnamon stick.
