Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Dice the cold butter and cut it into the flour mixture using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add the egg, milk, and vanilla sugar and quickly mix until just combined.
Once the dough comes together, gently fold in the blackberries, being careful not to crush them.
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and shape it into a disc about 1 inch (3 cm) thick.
Cut the disc into 6-8 wedges and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let them cool for a few minutes before serving fresh.
