Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
Slice the tomato and wash and dry the lettuce leaves.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs, then add the milk and melted butter. Mix well.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Preheat your waffle iron and grease it lightly with butter or oil to prevent sticking.
Pour a portion of the batter onto the hot waffle iron and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let the cooked waffles cool for a few minutes, then spread with a thin layer of mayonnaise.
Top with one or two slices of tomato, the crispy bacon, and fresh lettuce leaves.
Serve immediately, optionally with extra mayonnaise or your favorite dipping sauce.
