Thoroughly wash the blueberries and set aside to dry.
In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries and sugar. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 5-7 minutes, or until the blueberries release their juices and the mixture becomes syrupy.
Strain the blueberry syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any solids. Allow to cool completely.
In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, water, and blueberry syrup. Stir well to ensure all the flavors are incorporated.
Place ice cubes in glasses, then pour in the lemonade. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a few blueberries.
Chill the lemonade well before serving for the most refreshing experience.
