Wash the apple, slice it thinly, and remove the core.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the brown sugar until it turns into a golden brown caramel.
Carefully pour in the water and stir until the caramel is completely dissolved.
Add the apple slices, cinnamon stick, and cloves, then let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the black tea leaves, then let it steep for another 3-5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Strain the tea and pour it into cups. You can add a little milk for a smoother flavor, if desired.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick or apple slices when serving. Serve immediately.
