500 g Ground Beef
300 g Ground Pork
3 cloves Garlic (crushed)
1 Onion (grated)
2 tsp Hungarian Sweet Paprika
1 tsp Ground Cumin
1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tbsp Salt
50 ml Water
30 ml Oil (for grilling)

    In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork. Add the grated onion, crushed garlic, Hungarian sweet paprika, ground cumin, ground black pepper, salt, and baking soda.

    Pour in the water and thoroughly knead the mixture until you have a smooth, even consistency. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.

    Shape the chilled meat mixture into even-sized rolls, approximately 8-10 cm long and 2 cm in diameter.

    Preheat a grill, grill pan, or large skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly grease the surface with oil.

    Grill the cevapcici for 3-4 minutes per side, until they are golden brown on all sides and cooked through.

    Serve the cevapcici with fresh bread, ajvar (roasted red pepper spread), sliced onions, and fried potatoes.
