500 ml Cherry Juice (100%)
250 ml Water
150 g Fresh or Frozen Cherries
1 Orange
1 Cinnamon Stick
3 cloves Cloves
2 tbsp Honey (or sugar)
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
1 tbsp Rum or Rum Extract (optional)
2 Orange Slice (for garnish)
4 Cherries (for garnish)

    Preparation Steps

    In a saucepan, combine the cherry juice and water. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves.

    Halve the orange. Squeeze a little juice from one half and slice the other half into rounds for garnish.

    Add the fresh or frozen cherries, orange juice, and lemon juice to the saucepan. Heat over medium heat.

    When the liquid is just about to simmer, stir in the honey (or sugar) until completely dissolved.

    If making an alcoholic version, add the rum or rum extract and stir.

    Let the punch simmer gently for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Then, remove from heat.
