In a saucepan, combine the cherry juice and water. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves.
Halve the orange. Squeeze a little juice from one half and slice the other half into rounds for garnish.
Add the fresh or frozen cherries, orange juice, and lemon juice to the saucepan. Heat over medium heat.
When the liquid is just about to simmer, stir in the honey (or sugar) until completely dissolved.
If making an alcoholic version, add the rum or rum extract and stir.
Let the punch simmer gently for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Then, remove from heat.
Strain the spices, then pour the punch into glasses and garnish with orange slices and cherries.
Serve hot or warm and enjoy the spiced cherry flavor.
