In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and let it melt.
Halve the hamburger buns and lightly toast them in a dry skillet or on the grill.
Spread mayonnaise and chili sauce on the bottom half of each bun, then add a lettuce leaf.
Place the cheeseburger patty on top, then add jalapeño slices for a spicy kick.
Add tomato slices, onion rings, and pickle slices, then drizzle with ketchup and mustard.
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately with french fries or coleslaw.
