Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a cake pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Melt the butter and stir in the milk, then add it to the dry ingredients.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing until you have a smooth batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
While the cake is cooling, prepare the chocolate cream: melt the chocolate with the heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth.
Once the cake has cooled, slice it in half horizontally. Spread half of the chocolate cream over the bottom layer. Spread the remaining cream over the top and sides of the cake.
Decorate the cake with grated chocolate or fresh fruit, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
