Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a 9-inch (22 cm) cake pan with parchment paper.
Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water (double boiler). Let it cool slightly.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, then slowly fold in the melted chocolate mixture.
In a bowl, mix the quark cheese with 50g of sugar until smooth and creamy.
Pour half of the chocolate batter into the cake pan and spread evenly. Spoon the quark cream over the batter. Finally, pour the remaining chocolate batter over the quark cream and smooth the top.
Bake the cake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is set, but the center is still slightly soft. Let it cool completely before slicing and serving.
