Cinnamon plum sorbet homemade refreshing dessert

Cinnamon Plum Sorbet

Cinnamon plum sorbet is a dessert with a rich flavor profile that combines the natural sweetness of plums with the warm aroma of cinnamon. Plums have been cultivated since ancient civilizations, especially in the Mediterranean and Central Asia, where they were very popular. Cinnamon is also an ancient spice that has been used for thousands of years to flavor various foods and drinks. The first sorbets were consumed in ancient Rome, when snow flavored with honey and fruit juice was cooled. In the modern version, the natural sweetness of the plum and the warm spiciness of the cinnamon create a perfect harmony, resulting in a light, icy dessert. Imagine a spoonful of cinnamon plum sorbet melting in your mouth, refreshing and warming at the same time!

    Preparation Steps

    1

Wash the plums, remove the pits, chop them into smaller pieces, and purée in a blender until completely smooth.

    2

In a medium saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and cinnamon. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. This should take about 5 minutes.

    3

Let the sugar syrup cool completely, then stir in the plum purée and lemon juice.

    4

Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place in the freezer.

    5

Every 30 minutes, scrape the sorbet with a fork to create an icy, crystalline texture. Repeat this process 3-4 times, or until completely frozen.

    6

Before serving, let the sorbet stand at room temperature for 5 minutes to soften slightly and make it easier to scoop. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and plum slices sprinkled with cinnamon.
