Cinnamon-plum tea in a steaming mug

Cinnamon Plum Tea

The tradition of spiced teas dates back centuries, especially in Asia and Europe, where cinnamon and cloves are popular flavorings for the winter season. Plum uniquely adds a rich aroma to this drink, which is particularly enjoyable on a cold evening. Imagine the steam from the hot, fragrant tea filling the kitchen as you snuggle under a blanket with a good book. To make it even more special, try it with a little orange zest or a pinch of nutmeg!

    Preparation Steps

    1

Bring 500 ml of water to a boil, then pour over the black tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove the tea bags.

    2

Meanwhile, wash and pit the plums, then cut them into smaller pieces.

    3

In a small saucepan, bring the plum pieces to a simmer with a little water. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves.

    4

Simmer the plums over low heat for 5-7 minutes, until softened and they release their flavor.

    5

Strain the plum mixture and combine it with the black tea. If you prefer it sweeter, add honey and lemon juice to taste.

    6

Pour into mugs and garnish with a slice of plum or a cinnamon stick.

    7

Serve hot and enjoy the spicy, fruity flavors!
