In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
Stir in the vanilla sugar, then gradually mix in the milk.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
Evenly distribute the batter among the muffin liners, being careful not to overfill.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the muffins cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
