Chop the dark chocolate into smaller pieces for easier melting in the milk.
In a saucepan, heat the milk and heavy cream over medium heat, but do not bring to a boil.
Add the chopped chocolate to the warm milk and melt completely, stirring constantly.
Stir in the ground walnuts, honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt. Mix well to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed.
Simmer over low heat for 3-5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the hot chocolate to develop a silky smooth texture.
Pour the prepared hot chocolate into mugs, then garnish with whipped cream and coarsely chopped walnuts on top.
