Prepare the ingredients: mince the garlic and measure out all the other ingredients.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add the green peppercorns and stir into the garlic butter for 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat and cook for 5 minutes, until the liquid has slightly reduced.
Stir in the heavy cream and soy sauce. Continue to simmer over low heat until the sauce becomes smooth and coats the back of a spoon.
Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then serve warm with steak or grilled meats.
