Add the grated cheese and diced ham, then gently fold them into the batter.
Preheat your waffle iron and grease it lightly with butter or oil to prevent sticking.
Pour a portion of the batter onto the waffle iron and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.
Meanwhile, fry an egg in a skillet, which you will place on top of the waffle.
Place the freshly baked waffle on a plate, then top it with the fried egg.
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley or a sprinkle of extra cheese, if desired.
