Curry chili barbecue sauce in a jar, served with grilled meats

Curry Chili Barbecue Sauce

Barbecue sauces are popular worldwide, but this curry chili version adds a unique spiciness and tangy flavor to the classic recipe. The earthy warmth of the curry harmonizes perfectly with the heat of the chili and the intense aroma of smoked paprika. This sauce goes great with grilled meats, burgers, or even roasted vegetables. Homemade is always better, as you can adjust the flavors precisely to your own taste.

Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Sauté the onion for 2-3 minutes, or until translucent.

    3

Add the garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds, until fragrant.

    4

Stir in the brown sugar, mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sugar is completely dissolved.

    5

Add the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, curry powder, and chili flakes.

    6

Pour in the water, stir well, and let it simmer over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.

    7

Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or extra honey as needed.

    8

Let it cool slightly, then transfer to a jar and serve with grilled meats, vegetables, or alongside burgers.
