200 g Jasmine rice
400 ml Water
30 g Butter
1 Onion
2 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Curry powder
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Salt
1 pinch Black pepper
2 Green onion

    Rinse the jasmine rice thoroughly in cold water to remove excess starch.

    In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent.

    Add the minced garlic, curry powder, and turmeric. Sauté for another 30 seconds to enhance the flavors.

    Pour in the rinsed rice and stir well to coat each grain with the spiced onion mixture.

    Pour in 400 ml of water, add salt and a pinch of black pepper, then bring to a boil.

    Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and all the liquid has been absorbed.

    Remove from heat and let it rest, covered, for 5 minutes. Then, fluff the rice with a fork.
