Brew a strong batch of coffee and let it cool to room temperature. This prevents the iced coffee from melting the ice cubes too quickly.
Place the ice cubes in the bottom of a large glass, then pour the cooled coffee over them.
Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Then, slowly pour in the milk, creating a layered effect.
Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate shavings for garnish.
