Peel and deseed the tomatoes, then chop them into small pieces.
Heat the olive oil in a saucepan and sauté the finely chopped onion and garlic until softened.

Stir in the fresh basil, thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper, and sugar.
Cook for another 5-10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded.
