    Preparation Steps

    1

In a bowl, rub the butter into the flour until you get a homogeneous crumbly mixture.

    2

Add the sugar, salt, and vanilla extract, then work in the yeast and sour cream.

    3

Whisk the eggs, then mix them into the dough. Knead until the dough is elastic and smooth.

    4

Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for at least an hour, or until it has doubled in size.

    5

Once the dough has risen, roll it out to about 1 cm thickness, then cut out small round donuts.

    6

Place the donuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 20 minutes.

    7

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake the donuts for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

    8

Meanwhile, chop the walnuts and mix them with the honey.

    9

When the donuts are ready, spread them with the honey-walnut mixture, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve fresh.
