Prepare the ingredients. Wash the grapes and remove them from the stems. If necessary, cut them into smaller pieces.
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and pinch of salt.
Dice the cold butter, then add it to the flour mixture. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add the grapes and heavy cream to the dough and mix well to combine.
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, then add the milk. Gradually add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
Shape the dough into a disc and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Slightly flatten the top and use a sharp knife to cut crosswise slits into the top of the disc.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the scones are nicely golden brown.
Let the scones cool slightly before serving as desired.
