In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Shape the mixture into four equal patties.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties on both sides until golden brown and cooked through.
Halve the bananas lengthwise. Drizzle with honey and sear in a pan until golden brown and slightly caramelized.
Toast the inside of the burger buns until crispy.
Thinly slice the red onion and prepare the iceberg lettuce.
Assemble the burgers: place lettuce on the bottom bun, top with a beef patty, then layer with grilled bananas and red onion slices. Spread a dollop of mayonnaise and cover with the top bun.
