Grilled leg of lamb served with garlic sauce

Grilled Leg of Lamb with Garlic Sauce

Grilled leg of lamb with garlic sauce is a classic Mediterranean dish that combines the rich flavor of lamb with the pungent aroma of garlic. The slow marination of the lamb and the crispy crust formed during grilling provide a unique taste experience. As the lamb grills, the aroma of rosemary and garlic fills the air, while the inside of the meat remains juicy and tender. The sour cream garlic sauce adds freshness and creaminess to the dish, perfectly balancing the rich flavor of the lamb. This dish is an ideal choice for a summer barbecue, a gathering with friends, or even a festive dinner. Served with a fresh salad or grilled vegetables, it offers a true culinary experience.

    Preparation Steps

    1

Wash the leg of lamb and pat it dry. Rub it generously with salt, pepper, and finely chopped rosemary.

    2

Crush half of the garlic cloves and combine them with the olive oil and lemon juice. Rub this mixture all over the leg of lamb and let it marinate for at least 1 hour.

    3

Preheat your grill to medium heat. Place the leg of lamb on the grill rack and cook on both sides for 8-10 minutes, until it's nicely browned on the outside and juicy inside.

    4

While the lamb is grilling, prepare the garlic sauce: combine the remaining crushed garlic with the sour cream and mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and stir in the finely chopped parsley.

    5

Let the cooked leg of lamb rest for 5 minutes before carving. Serve with the garlic sauce, and a fresh salad or grilled vegetables on the side.
